I have been a photography educator in public schools for 31 years. In my classroom, I emphasize the importance of experimentation and self-expression. I encourage students to push boundaries and explore various styles, techniques, and mediums. This process of exploration is as crucial as the final image itself; it cultivates resilience, curiosity, and a lifelong appreciation for art. Through my work, I aim to document not only the visible world but also the invisible narratives that shape our lives. My mission as both an artist and an educator is to empower young photographers to find their voices, to see the world anew, and to share their visions with authenticity and courage. I believe that through photography, we can bridge gaps, ignite conversations, and build a more compassionate world.
