East Bay Photo Collective Community Darkroom
ABOUT THE SPACE
The EBPCO Community Darkroom is a black & white only darkroom equipped for processing, printing, and print finishing from 35mm, 120, & 4x5 film. All black & white processing chemicals and equipment are provided. The print space includes four enlargers, easels, filters, carriers, and more. The film processing space includes use of tanks, reels, and processors. The dry space includes use of paper cutters, mat cutters, dry-mount press, computer, & film scanner.

PRICING
The darkroom is available to those who apply for use & complete an orientation. Darkroom users must maintain both an EBPCO membership as well as a separate darkroom subscription. If you’re not already an EBPCO member, you can sign up or renew HERE. Darkroom subscriptions are activated on-site during orientation & are available in one month ($20-$35), three month ($90), or six month ($150) plans. WORKSHOPS
We offer a wide range of darkroom courses year round, including Intro to 35mm Photography and Intro to Darkroom for beginners, Darkroom Refresher Courses for those with previous experience, and a variety of other Advanced Darkroom Techniques Workshops with rotating topics. We also offer alternative process and experimental photography courses regularly in our space. VOLUNTEER
We host regular darkroom volunteer days where we focus on projects to improve the space while learning together & building community. If you'd like to be notified & join in on upcoming work days, send an inquiry HERE. We also have ongoing volunteer positions in darkroom maintenance, monitoring, & instructional media production, however, these are available ONLY to registered darkroom users. If you're interested in joining the darkroom team in these roles, let us know in your application!

We've created a wishlist of supplies needed at the darkroom. If you'd like to support the space, please check out the list & donate an item if you can. Supplies listed are regularly updated and range from improvement items to ongoing supplies. We’re also accepting monetary donations to cover operating costs.
