John Templeton
John Templeton began his passion for photography as a teenage in Peru, Indiana with an Eastman Kodak Brownie camera. Today, now a long-time bay area resident, he uses more sophisticated equipment from Canon and Olympus. Anything outdoors is John's favorite subject to photograph. John has been influenced and instructed by some world class photographers, including Erin Babnik, Tillman Crane, Jay Dickman, Michael Frye, Jennifer King, and Oliver Klink.
Only in the last few years has John shared his photographs with people outside of his circle of friends and relatives. During this short time, John has shown his work in several exhibits in the Walnut Creek area. He has also shown prints in the Alameda County Fair since 2017. John was won several awards at the fair, including Best of Show for "Running from the Cowboy." John is also a member of the Contra Costa Camera Club.
