Bio
Aidan Jung is a multimedia artist whose creative identity developed at an early age while walking the city streets of Portland Oregon and Oakland California. As a young person navigating family and housing instability, Aidan practiced walking meditation as a methodology for grounding in self attunement and spatial awareness. Currently, Aidan is using experimental techniques in Super 8 Film and Polaroid emulsion lifts to explore the city's animation of gender identity, queerness, urban decay and social solitude. Aidan studied film production and photography at the California College of Arts before finishing his degree and graduating from the Pacific Northwest College of Art with a BFA in 2017.
With a decade of experience in film production, Aidan is a director and visual effects artist producing short films, music videos, and commercial campaigns with the creative studio Ntropic in San Francisco, CA. Aidan is currently working on his first analogue photography book titled “Growing Pains”. The project is a personal history of street photography illustrating the complexity of self discovery and growth in the midst of social phobia and cultural division in the United States.
