Born and raised in the Bay Area, Gabrielle Rivera is a photographer working mainly with analog film. She uses photography to capture intimate moments that often go unnoticed. The use of portraiture creates an emotional connection between the artist, model, and audience. Using the camera as a medium, she is able to explore the themes of mortality, coming of age, the minority experience, and more. Gabrielle received her Bachelors of Art degree in Art Practice from the University of California, Berkeley and her Associate for Transfer degree in Art History from Foothill College.
